I'm a London based wildlife photographer, specialising in the wildlife of Britain and the far North. My interest in the natural world began at an early age, inspired by my father, a leading ornithologist, together with the Dorset coast and neighbouring New Forest close to where I grew up. My love of wildlife has taken me around the world, to the Arctic, Africa, India, Borneo and Central & South America. It is the the wild spaces of the British Isles and Northern Europe though that I have come to love in recent years, calling me home and become my consuming passion. The wildlife photos in my portfolio are drawn from the British Isles and the Arctic wildernesses of Scandinavia. My Mountain hare portfolio was British Seasons category winner in the highly prestigious British Wildlife Photography Awards 2012. More recently, my image 'Tor Malkin' was runner up in the Scottish Wildlife category of the Scottish Nature Photography Awards 2012. I'm a regular contributor to the prestigious BBC Wildlife Magazine , my image of a Water vole featuring on the cover in November 2012. My image of a diving Kingfisher also featured on the cover of the August 2012 edition of Birdwatching magazine. I have also provided several covers for the London Wildlife Trust's magazine, Wild London. My nature photos have also appeared widely in some of the UK's leading magazines, including RSPB Birds, BBC Countryfile magazine, the Field, the WWT's Waterlife, Outdoor Photographer and Dive Magazine. In April 2012 I was invited by internationally renowned wildlife broadcaster and cameraman Simon King to take part in London Wild Bird Watch Live 2012 as one of their Wildlife Photography Masterclass leaders, in association with Amateur Photographer magazine. I'm represented by several leading natural history photographic libraries, including FLPA, the Natural History Museum Image Library and NHPA, now part of Photoshot. My press agents for image syndication are Solent. For Press and business enquiries please contact me here. I'd love to hear from you! |
