Scottish Nature Photography Festival

The Scottish Nature Photography Festival takes place this weekend, 14th and 15th September 2013 with a new look and an exciting and varied programme.

Held at Scottish Natural Heritage’s prestigious Battleby Centre just outside of Perth, SNPF will take place on 14 and 15 September and will feature great speakers, amazing imagery, workshops and trade stands as well as the chance to mingle with like-minded photography enthusiasts.

State-of-the-art projection and sound, easy access, free parking and excellent catering, which makes Battleby the perfect venue to enjoy the images and commentary of some of the best photographers at work today.

And me…

I am delighted to have been invited by Festival organiser Pete Cairns (think Michael Eavis but without the bald head and beard) as one of 6 photographers described as ‘fresh talent’ (Pete’s words not mine!) to display a portfolio of 20 images to be shown via iMacs at the event .

I have selected 20 images taken from the four private projects I have worked on over the last few years, including a selection of images from the start of my latest project on Roe deer which are exclusive to SNPF 2013 and won’t be seen anywhere else any time soon, as I am holding them back for a book which remains a long, long way off.

I know how hard the organisers of SNPF 2013 have worked on the event so I hope as many of you as possible get yourselves along there. There are still a few tickets available here. Have a great day!
