The results of the Scottish Nature Photography awards 2012 have been announced. Congratulations to the overall winner Charlie Phillips who won with a belting shot of a young Bottlenose dolphin. I’m delighted to say my image of a Mountain hare entitled ‘Tor Malkin’ (‘Malkin’ is old Scots for hare) achieved second place in the Scottish Wildlife category:

Really though I should have called the image ‘Preslava’s hare’ as it was Pressie (my better half) who found her up on the tor (hill) sitting out a snow blizzard. So this competition placing like all my work is because of and dedicated to her.
